Ingredients

For the wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings for me this was 10 wings
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin

For the honey sauce:

  • 1 Tbsp Tabasco
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Himalayan salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the wings dry with a paper towel.
  • Mix the cornstarch, cayenne pepper, Himalayan salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder and cumin in a large bowl.
  • Toss the wings in the spice mixture.
  • Line a baking pan with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top. Spray the wire rack with cooking oil.
  • Pat each of the chicken wings and place them on top of the wire rack.
  • Place the baking pan in the oven and bake the wings for 20 minutes on each side.
  • Combine the honey, Himalayan salt, Tabasco sauce and vegetable oil in a large bowl.
  • Toss the wings in the sauce until they're evenly coated.
  • Take off the wire rack and line the chicken wings on top of the parchment paper.
  • Bake for another 5 to 7 minutes or until the sauce starts to bubble.

Notes

  • You can substitute Tabasco with Frank's Red Hot sauce or another milder alternative.
  • You can add more hot sauce if the honey sauce isn't spicy enough for your preferences.
  • The chicken wings are initially baked on the wire rack to prevent them from sticking to the parchment paper.
