Easy BBQ Sauce Without Vinegar

This BBQ sauce recipe is perfect for anyone who's dealing with heartburn or just wants to cut vinegar out of their diet. All you'll need to whip a batch are a few simple ingredients that are probably already in your pantry!

Ingredients

  • 15 oz organic tomato sauce
  • 1/2 lbs plums I used 260 grams
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  • Start by removing the pits from the plums.
  • Chop the plums and put them in a small saucepan along with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Stir all of the ingredients and bring them to a boil.
  • Turn the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Blend the sauce until it reaches a smooth consistency which should take roughly 2 minutes.
