The Best Spanakopita Dipping Sauce

This simple sauce is the perfect companion to a serving of spanakopita. It has a light creamy flavor which complements the taste of the spinach and Feta cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup skyr
  • 1 garlic clove grated
  • 1 tbsp dill fresh
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper

Instructions

  • Peel and grate the garlic.
  • Finely chop the dill with a kitchen knife.
  • Mix the skyr, grated garlic, salt, white pepper and lemon juice until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Stir in the finely chopped dill and add the olive oil.
  • Refrigerate the sauce for at least an hour so the sauce can absorb all of the flavors.
