Easy Mild Buffalo Wing Sauce Recipe

This mild buffalo wing sauce recipe is less spicy than the original, but it still retains the staple taste we all love. It's a perfect condiment for chicken wings, fries, eggs, and many other dishes. I love making mine with paprika powder, but you can substitute it with dried ancho chile powder if you have it on hand.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup hot sauce such as Frank's red hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Worcester sauce
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • salt

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Be careful not to burn it or brown it too much as it will give the sauce a bitter taste.
  • Blend the melted butter along with the other ingredients in a food processor or using a hand blender until smooth. This will emulsify the sauce and prevent it from separating once it cools down.
  • Let the sauce cool off before serving.
  • Season with salt.
